Stellex T-Top Boat Cover

FAQs

• What types of vehicles does Classic Accessories make covers for?

We make covers for a wide range of vehicles including cars, trucks, SUVs, golf carts, ATVs, UTVs, motorcycles, RVs, travel trailers, fifth wheels, boats, and personal watercraft. Each cover is purpose-built for its vehicle type, with specific sizing, shape, and material choices designed to provide a secure, protective fit for that category of vehicle.

• Are your vehicle covers suitable for outdoor storage?

Yes. Classic Accessories vehicle covers are designed for outdoor storage and protection from the elements. Covers are constructed with weather-resistant or waterproof fabrics that shield vehicles from rain, UV rays, bird droppings, tree sap, dust, and dirt. Many covers also feature breathable panels or air vents to prevent moisture from becoming trapped, which helps protect your vehicle's paint and finish during extended outdoor storage.

• How do I choose the right size vehicle cover?

Choosing the right size starts with knowing your vehicle's measurements - specifically its overall length, width, and height. Classic Accessories product listings include detailed size charts and compatibility guides to help you match the right cover to your specific vehicle. For RVs and trailers, knowing your RV type (Class A, Class B, Class C, Travel Trailer, 5th Wheel, etc.) is also important, as each has a unique shape that the cover needs to accommodate.

• Do vehicle covers protect against UV damage and paint fading?

Yes. UV protection is one of the primary benefits of using a vehicle cover. Prolonged sun exposure can cause paint oxidation, fading, and interior dashboard cracking. Classic Accessories vehicle covers are made with UV-resistant fabrics that block harmful rays and help preserve your vehicle's paint, finish, and interior materials - especially important for vehicles stored outdoors or in areas with high sun exposure year-round.

• Will a vehicle cover scratch my car or damage the paint?

Classic Accessories vehicle covers are designed with soft, non-abrasive inner linings that protect your paint during installation and removal. To further protect your finish, always ensure your vehicle is clean and dry before placing the cover on, as any dirt or debris between the cover and the surface can act as an abrasive - especially in windy conditions. A clean vehicle and a properly fitting cover work together to keep your paint safe.

• Can vehicle covers be used for long-term or seasonal storage?

Absolutely. Classic Accessories vehicle covers are well-suited for both short-term daily use and long-term seasonal storage. Whether you are winterizing a boat, storing an ATV during the off-season, or keeping a car covered in a garage over several months, the covers are built to maintain protection over extended periods. For best results during long-term storage, ensure the vehicle is clean, dry, and properly prepared before covering.

• Does my vehicle have to be clean before I install the cover?

Yes, we recommend cleaning and drying your vehicle before installing your cover. Any dirt, particles, or debris left on the vehicle can be abrasive and lead to wear and tear on paint and finishes in windy conditions or while trailering.

• How soon can I cover a brand new or freshly repainted vehicle?

Chemical compounds used in paint and finishes release gases and need time to fully cure. We recommend waiting a minimum of four weeks before covering a new or freshly repainted vehicle to prevent the cover from interfering with the curing process.

• How do I clean my vehicle cover?

The best way to clean our covers is with a soft scrub brush and warm water. For heavy soiling, you can use white vinegar diluted with water. We do not recommend washing covers in a washing machine as the machine agitation may cause the seams to rip or tear. Air dry only. We also do not recommend using detergents or bleach as they may damage the protective coatings on the fabric.

• What is the difference between water-repellent, water-resistant, and waterproof vehicle covers?

Water-repellent fabric sheds water but remains permeable to air, causing water to bead up and run off. Water-resistant fabric is constructed to hinder the absorption and penetration of water but may soak through in heavy rain or prolonged exposure. Waterproof fabric is fully impermeable to water. Regardless of protection level, no cover can prevent condensation - a natural occurrence caused by humidity and dew point. Most covers feature air vents and are designed to allow airflow to aid in evaporation.

• Where can I find the part number and production code on my vehicle cover?

The part number and production code (sometimes called tag code or batch number) are located on the white product tag that is sewn onto an interior seam of the cover. Please have your product available to reference when locating this information, as it may be needed for customer support or parts inquiries.
