• Are Classic Accessories covers water-resistant?

  Yes. Our patio and outdoor covers are water resistant and water repellant. Water-resistant covers repel light rain and moisture and are ideal for most outdoor use. However, our covers are not waterproof. All product listings clearly indicate the level of protection, and covers across both categories feature air vents to reduce condensation buildup under the cover.

• What is the difference between water-repellent and water-resistant covers?

  Water-repellent fabric sheds water but is permeable to air - the tightly woven fabric or applied finish causes water to bead up and run off. Water-resistant fabric is constructed to hinder absorption and penetration of water but may soak through in heavy rain or prolonged exposure. Regardless of the protection level, no cover can prevent condensation, which is a natural occurrence caused by humidity and dew point.

  We recommend removing your cushions while using our covers and following your furniture manufacturer's care instructions. For customers who choose to cover furniture with cushions on, it is important to note that even a waterproof cover cannot prevent condensation. Condensation is a natural occurrence caused by humidity levels and dew point, and when it mixes with organic material it can lead to mold and mildew forming on the cushions.

• Will the sun cause my patio cover to fade over time?

  Our covers are designed to provide protection for as long as possible, however, exposure to UV rays will eventually cause some fading. Fading means the cover may lose some color or brightness over time, but it does not affect the functionality or durability of the cover. Your furniture remains protected even as the cover ages.

• How do I properly clean my patio cover?

  The best way to clean our patio covers is with a soft scrub brush and warm water. For heavy soiling, you can use white vinegar diluted with water. We do not recommend washing covers in a washing machine as the agitation can cause seams to rip or tear. Air dry only. We also do not recommend using detergents or bleach, as they can damage the protective coatings on the fabric.

• How should I store my covers when not in use?

  When not in use, we recommend storing your covers in a clean and dry place such as a deck box, garage, or shed. Always ensure the cover is clean and completely dry before folding and storing to prevent mildew from developing during storage.
