Ravenna Outdoor Weatherproof Table & Chair Set Cover

FAQs

• What types of patio furniture covers does Classic Accessories offer?

Classic Accessories offers patio furniture covers for virtually every piece of outdoor furniture, including chairs, sofas, loveseats, sectionals, chaise lounges, dining table sets, ottomans, fire pits, umbrellas, and more. Collections like Ravenna, Veranda, and Storigami offer a range of styles from everyday water-resistant covers to premium weatherproof options, so there is a solution for every outdoor setup and climate.

• Are Classic Accessories patio covers water-resistant?

Yes. Our patio and outdoor covers are water resistant and water repellant. Water-resistant covers repel light rain and moisture and are ideal for most outdoor use. However, our covers are not waterproof. All product listings clearly indicate the level of protection, and covers across both categories feature air vents to reduce condensation buildup under the cover.

• What is the difference between water-repellent and water-resistant covers?

Water-repellent fabric sheds water but is permeable to air -- the tightly woven fabric or applied finish causes water to bead up and run off. Water-resistant fabric is constructed to hinder absorption and penetration of water but may soak through in heavy rain or prolonged exposure. Regardless of the protection level, no cover can prevent condensation, which is a natural occurrence caused by humidity and dew point.

• How do I find the right size patio cover for my furniture?

To find the right fit, measure your furniture at its widest (width), deepest (depth), and tallest (height) points. For chairs and sofas, measure arm-to-arm for width and backrest to seat edge for depth. For table and chair sets, measure with chairs pushed in from the outermost chair tops. Classic Accessories provides detailed sizing guides and measurement instructions for every furniture type to help you find a cover that fits snugly and stays in place.

• Do patio covers protect against UV rays and sun fading?

Yes. Classic Accessories patio covers are designed with UV-resistant fabrics that help shield your outdoor furniture from sun damage, discoloration, and material degradation caused by prolonged UV exposure. While the covers themselves may experience gradual fading over time from direct sun exposure, this does not affect their protective performance or durability. Keeping your furniture covered when not in use is one of the best ways to extend its life.

• What features should I look for in an outdoor patio furniture cover?

The most important features to look for in a patio furniture cover include a secure fastening system (such as elastic hem cords, click-close buckles, or adjustable straps), air vents to prevent moisture and condensation buildup, and durable fabric with a water-resistant or waterproof rating. A good fit is also essential -- a cover that is too loose can catch wind and cause damage, while one that is too tight may not provide full protection. Classic Accessories covers are designed with all of these features in mind.

• Can patio furniture covers be used year-round, including in winter?

Yes. Our patio covers are built for year-round use and can withstand a range of weather conditions including rain, snow, frost, and wind. Using a heavy-duty or weatherproof cover during winter months protects your furniture from moisture absorption, freezing temperatures, and UV damage during the off-season. For best results, ensure your furniture is clean and dry before covering, and store the cover itself in a dry place when not in use.

• Are your patio covers mold and mildew resistant?

Mold and mildew occur when moisture mixes with organic material such as lotions, food particles, and dirt. Our covers are made from synthetic materials, so they themselves cannot create mold or mildew. It is very important to ensure your furniture is clean and completely dry before covering to prevent mold or mildew from forming underneath.

• Can I leave my cushions on my furniture when I put the cover on?

We recommend removing your cushions while using our covers and following your furniture manufacturer's care instructions. For customers who choose to cover furniture with cushions on, it is important to note that even a waterproof cover cannot prevent condensation. Condensation is a natural occurrence caused by humidity levels and dew point, and when it mixes with organic material it can lead to mold and mildew forming on the cushions.

• Will the sun cause my patio cover to fade over time?

Our covers are designed to provide protection for as long as possible, however, exposure to UV rays will eventually cause some fading. Fading means the cover may lose some color or brightness over time, but it does not affect the functionality or durability of the cover. Your furniture remains protected even as the cover ages.

• How do I properly clean my patio cover?

The best way to clean our patio covers is with a soft scrub brush and warm water. For heavy soiling, you can use white vinegar diluted with water. We do not recommend washing covers in a washing machine as the agitation can cause seams to rip or tear. Air dry only. We also do not recommend using detergents or bleach, as they can damage the protective coatings on the fabric.

• How should I store my patio covers when not in use?

When not in use, we recommend storing your patio covers in a clean and dry place such as a deck box, garage, or shed. Always ensure the cover is clean and completely dry before folding and storing to prevent mildew from developing during storage.
