Rated 4 out of 5 by JimJim from Easy to use I have been out five or six times now on my Cumberland Float Tube, and I can say without hesitation that it is easy to set up and comfortable. The seat is nice and high, and the adjustable back is much appreciated. The valves could be constructed to be a little higher above the fabric covering, which would make inflating/de-inflating easier. This is not a deal breaker by any stretch. One feature that would be welcomed by us fly guys is to have the loop half of a hood and look system mounted on the storage bays. This way fly patched could be easily attached, which would be awesome.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Saltyfly from Great Saltwater Fly Fishing Gear While I transitioned from conventional to fly fishing relatively easily on freshwater, saltwater fly fishing was very challenging. I will spare the full details, but getting close to the fish and finding room to cast can be challenging on the beaches and harbors on Southern California. Added a float tube to my gear and I started catching fish immediately. 3 trips out, 1 bay bass, 3 halibut, 7 mackerel landed so far. If this tube holds up for 1 year with no issue I would be happy to give it 5 stars. As is, happy customer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mr P from Luxury! This float tube is the upgrade I was hoping for. You higher than with other tubes which makes covering longer distances super easy. It inflates easily in minutes and the pockets are large enough to hold whatever you need. One unexpected feature were the velcro type strips that keep the bladder and tube aligned with the valve holes - very helpful. The seat is like sitting in a lounge chair. I read reviews about the seat being too hard, but I've fished for hours without any problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bo321 from Comfortable, Cheap, Nicely designed I recently purchased the Cumberland Float Tube. I have not used it to fish with yet, but we are taking it up to the Sierra Nevada in two weeks. I have however blown it up and put it in my pool. You need to purchase a pump, but inflation is very quick and easy.I am 6'3 220 lbs and the seat is very comfortable and has an adjustable backrest so you can set it to any position you would like. The seat also keeps you out of the water nicely. A nice feature is the straps you can detach and out on the bottom of the float tube so you can carry it like a backpack for very easy transportation. The tube while inflated is very light so carrying it on your back to the lake or even hiking to lakes should be very easy. My girlfriend tried it out and she bought one for herself. So far this tube is perfect and comes with a much cheaper price tag than many other brands, especially with the features such as this one has. On top of this, customer service is also fast and helpful as well!

Rated 5 out of 5 by NETTEN from Great Tube for the Money PROS: float tube is great quality for the price. Easily compares to more expensive Fish Cat tubes and performs just as well. I love how high you sit in the water. I'm 180lb and my butt doesn't even get wet. Easy to kick around and plenty of room for storing goodies. CONS: Backstrap straps are not good for carrying the tube any longer than a half mile or so. Very basic nylon straps with no sternum strap. I'd recommend going to an Army Surplus store and replacing the straps with something better. Backrest support straps are a tad low... as in when I lean back in the chair it isn't as supported at the top and bends backward a bit. Not a deal breaker though. The final thing is the mesh lap table velcro tabs. I always seem to wrap my fly line around the pull handles when stripping. It could just be my technique. Overall, an excellent float tube at a great price! I don't see any reason to buy a more expensive FishCat tube because the Cumberland does everything just as good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Waxwing 1 from Have fly fished in the Cumberland over 500 days Bought a Cumberland over 4 years ago. I have fly fished it over 500 times and even built a pvc frame for it with headlights and a fish finder. My average fishing outings are 8-12 hours a shot. Very little fading and have not had 1 leak. I purchased a second one so that I don't have to remove my frame from the first one. The best purchase I've made in 20 years. The only change I would make is more durable zippers. Absolute gem of a product! Waxwing Custom Fly Rods

Rated 1 out of 5 by Mac6138 from No way to back pack. This tube is great in the water, getting it there however is problematic. The provided straps for packing are useless due to the fact that they are too short and cheap. There are also no D ring hook in points on the bottom of the tube so if you hook in on the seat side where the D rings are, your head and neck are pushed forward. Not very comfy if walking any distance. I posted a question regarding a diagram or directions and the response from Classic Accessories was "we dont have a diagram". The final thing is both zippered compartments although roomy and a great design had both zippers on both sides of the tube fail. Very cheap zippers. Save a few more dollars and look at Outcast float tubes. A bit heavier, a bit more money but the durability and ease of packing is excellent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Oldman RWG from Cumberland Float Tube I bought this float tube 6 years ago along with the Teton float tube about 6 months later. Have been very happy with both tubes. I use the Cumberland tube. I am 5’10 and weigh 275. The tube keeps me high in the water, which makes it very easy to fly fish from. You sit high in the water which makes it easy to see and cas! Very happy with this product and highly recommended it to anybody!J

I am interested in packing the tube to remote areas. Do you have a diagram of how to rig the tube with straps? I am unable to find a pic of anyone backpacking this tube, or a diagram of how to rig the straps.

Asked by: Mac6138
Unfortunately we do not have a diagram available for how to rig the straps.

what is the best way to store the Cumberland float tube when not in use? Long term and short term. thank you.

Asked by: jeffy
Always partially deflate the bladders before storing your assembled float tube in a vehicle or hot area. The air in the bladders can expand significantly. If you are not going to use your float tube for an extended period deflate it and store it. To avoid mildew, be sure that your float tube is dry before you pack it and that you store it in a dry place.
